I met Mack the owner of River Run (Red Jacket) when we were one of the very first people to ride his park in September 2005. Mack and I instantly hit it off, and have become very good friends since then. Mack is dedicated to make his park one of the best mud and trail parks in East Texas, and has put a lot of time and effort into developing his park. We have been supporting Mack since he open his park in 2005, and continue to do so. River Run consist roughly of 2,500 acres of upland trails, mud, and camping.

Mack invested a lot time and money into building some of the best showers (hot showers) and restrooms out of all the the East Texas Mud Parks. In addition to some of the best showers, and restrooms, Mack has a full power wash facility, along with several electrical and water hook ups for Rvs and Campers. So, at the end of the day you can get yourself and machine cleaned up, and then head to camp.

Mack does have a little cabin on the property that you can rent, just ask Mack about the details.

During the summer when it gets a little dry and dusty, Mack will run the water truck through to knock down the dust.

Lets get to the best part of all the mud! River Run offers all different types of mud riding, from swamp riding to deep swalllowing mud holes.

We call this "The Canal", and some sections will swallow your quad. If you can make this run from start to finish you have a real mud machine. I made it 3/4 of the way through when my carb sucked in mud and water, and I was getting a tow rope ride home.

There are also several mud pits, such as Devil's Pit, that will provide a real challenge to you and your machine. If you aren't careful your machine could get swallowed.

My most favorite area is known as Mallard Swamp, and when this swamp is full you need to be extremely careful, but this swamp offers some of the best riding in the entire park, and I ride it every time.

One of my most memorable rides at River Run was when I rode with Scott and his crew from Highlifter. I took them into Mallard Swamp in the middle of a thunderstorm, and we had a blast, well that was up until Scott's brother Brian's Brute Force front wheel broke off in the middle of the swamp, and at the height of the thunderstorm.

Now, River Run not only has some great mud riding, but they also have miles and miles of upland trail riding, so if you are not into mud riding you can still trail ride. Many of the trails twist and turn through several pine forests, as well as hardwoods. River Run is Side x Side friendly, however you need to be careful in the washouts or off camber sections.

If you are into rock crawling or a challenging hill climb, head over to the "The Rock", and see if you and your machine will survive.

If you interested in hosting an event, River Run has several mud pits that provide for very exciting racing.

Another nice feature of River Run is that the Neches River runs through the park, and during the summer this is a welcome relief at Bikini Beach, and Rope Swing. The only thing Mack's ask for is do not, do not ride your Atv in the River, if caught this is a very expensive fine.
